What can you do to speed the closing process up? What can you expect? What should you do and what shouldn’t you do?

  • Communication: During the closing process, there will be lots of communication between you, your agent and all the people involved in the transaction: Transaction coordinator, escrow closers, escrow assistants, title officers, lender, buyer agent and buyer and more. As seller, it's super important to be available for questions and communicate.

  • Processing paperwork quickly: Your agent might handle most of the paperwork, but some things will also come into your inbox: Seller opening paperwork, statement of identity and other information that you have to fill out. The sooner you get this done and back to the agent or escrow, the quicker the process will be!

  • Hurry up, and wait: Ironically, once processing everything is done, it becomes boring. Waiting for closing can be tough... During this time feel free to contact your agent with any questions or concerns you might have. There are no stupid questions!
